0.5 FTE, 24 Months, Fixed-Term, Part-time Post

Position Summary

UCC's Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence with a research programme on “EU Integration and Citizens' Rights” seeks to employ a Research Assistant as soon as possible. The post is available for up to 24 months (end date 12/2024) at 0.5 full time. It comprises research support, especially in relation to academic reports of events and occasional research papers, as well as support for a series of nine events, partially online and partially hybrid. This is an opportunity for a person having first research experience in European studies, who is interested in interdisciplinary work between socio-legal studies, political science, economics and sociology. The post requires some organisational skills, excellent time-management ability, research skills and the ability to communicate and work with a range of people. The post reports to the PI, but the project overall has 10 academics working on it, with which the Research Assistant is expected to cooperate.

Post Duration: 24 months

Salary: €27,380 - €36,786 p.a. (IUA Salary Scale), pro rata 0.5 FTE
