  • The Department of Nanometrology, Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems, announces a competition for the position of assistant professor for research and teaching in the discipline of automation, electronics and electrical engineering, in the specialities: nanometrology, design of measuring and control devices, design and modelling of microsystem, optomechanical and optoelectronic structures. It is expected that the candidate will conduct research and publish their results, be active in obtaining research grants, teach with commitment, and actively participate in the organizational activities of the Department of Nanometrology. The candidate should have co-teaching experience and scholarly accomplishments in the discipline listed above

    Selection process

    documents required:

    a written application to enter the competition addressed to the Head of the Department of Nanometrology,

    application for employment addressed to JM Rector of Wrocław University of Technology in case of winning the competition,


    a copy of the master's degree and the doctorate or PhD in engineering,

    an autoreference concerning scientific and research activity, teaching experience and skills and organizational activity,

    a list of scientific and organisational achievements, development and implementation works in which the candidate participated,

    list of academic awards and honors,

    the opinion of at least one academic staff member holding the position of professor on the candidate's research, teaching and organizational activity,

    statement that in case of winning the competition Wroclaw University of Technology will be the main place of work for the candidate,

    the candidate's declaration that he or she meets the conditions of Article 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science,

    statement of consent to the processing of my personal data for the purposes of this recruitment in accordance with Article 13(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27. 04. 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: RODO).     Additional comments

    The competition may be closed without the selection of a candidate. The competition may be unresolved without giving any reasons. Applications from unsuccessful applicants will not be returned at the close of the procedure. Those interested will be able to pick them up in person at the Faculty Secretariat within 6 months, with acknowledgement of receipt.     the professional title of Master of Science in Engineering and doctoral or post-doctoral degree in one of the following fields: electronics, photonics, applied physics, materials engineering,

    fluency in Polish and English,

    ability to teach in at least one of the following areas: signal processing, embedded processors, programmable logic circuits,

    ability to conduct scientific research in at least one of the following areas: photonics, microsystems technology, optomechanics, modelling of optomechanical and optoelectronic structures.
