The Department of Architectural and Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Architecture is looking for a candidate for the position of research and teaching assistant/ assistant professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in design in the field of architecture, research and publications, and for organizational duties at the Faculty and University.

Responsibilities:

Teaching and educating students of the 1st and 2nd cycle programs.

Conducting research and publishing papers

Cooperating with science centers.

Improving own skills.

Actively participating in organizational work of the Department, Faculty and University.

Following the rules of ethical conduct, in particular the Academic Ethical Code of Wrocław University of Technology.

Requirements:

The position is open to candidates who fulfill the requirements regulated by the Act on Higher Education Law of July 20, 2018 (Dz. U. 2018, item 1668) and by the statute of Wroclaw University of Technology.

University degree in Architecture

Defended doctoral thesis in the field of architecture and urban planning (necessary for the position of assistant professor) or a doctoral thesis initiated.

Evidence of research and scientific achievements – min. 1 publication in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education list of journals.

Active participation in scientific conferences and workshops.

Teaching experience in an academic institution.

Professional practice and documented design achievements, awards for architectural projects are welcome.

Knowledge of graphics software.

Basic command of spoken and written English – certificate.

Organizational activity

Candidates are asked to submit the following documents:

CV.

Summary of professional accomplishments including their achievements in the field of science, research, teaching and organization.

Their scientific record, including the following: research papers, unpublished works, designs, academic and professional placements, organized and attended conferences, research projects and student workshops.

Transcript of Higher Education Diploma.

Transcript of PhD diploma in Architecture and Urban Planning.

Other documented evidence of their qualifications.

Declaration in accordance with article 113 of the act on Higher Education of 20 July 2018.

Declaration of the candidate that Wrocław University of Technology will be their first workplace if the candidate wins the contest, in accordance with art. 120 para. 1 of the Act on Higher Education.1,2
