Work Arrangements
The Criminology and Legal Studies Department at Douglas College invites applicants to apply for a full-time Regular Probationary Faculty position. Workload is assigned each academic year based on available sections. This position may involve teaching on two campuses and may involve evening and Saturday teaching.

The Role
The Criminology and Legal Studies Department at Douglas College is seeking applicants for a full-time Regular Probationary Faculty position for the 2022/2023 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Applicants should have demonstrated experience in, and commitment to, undergraduate teaching. - The successful candidate will instruct students, facilitate learning, and evaluate student progress in College courses. - The successful candidate will plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners, and provide learner‐centered instruction. - The successful candidate will participate in Department meetings, committees, and other department initiatives.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
Applicants will meet the following criteria: - Possess a PhD in Criminology or a relevant related discipline, and/or LLB/JD degree from an accredited Canadian University with significant legal practice experience and/or an LLM or Doctorate in Law from an accredited Canadian, American or Commonwealth University. - Membership in a Canadian Law Society preferred. - Applicants will also demonstrate excellence in teaching a number of undergraduate courses across the curriculum in Law and Criminology.
