Work Arrangements

This position is available in Winter and Summer semesters. The incumbent must be willing to work days and/or evenings and/or Saturdays at either or both the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses. Teaching may include online, blended, or hybrid format. Workload is assigned each year based on available sections.

The Role

The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is seeking a Regular Probationary instructor starting in the Winter 2022 term.

Responsibilities

The instructor must be fully prepared to teach two required courses and any two other following courses for a total of 4 courses:

Required: -BUSN 4640 Project Management Methodologies -BUSN 3620 Managing Project Time and Scope Any of the following two: -BUSN 1200

Fundamentals of Business -BUSN 1210 Management Essentials -BUSN 2429 Business Statistics -BUSN 3431 Business Statistics II

– The successful candidate will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress.

You will plan, organize and teach learning activities. You will ensure students receive the knowledge, information and resources to succeed by maintaining a quality, learner-centered approach to post-secondary education.

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need

- To possess a PhD, MBA, or relevant Master degree from a recognized institution. In addition: -Significant demonstrated Industry experience in the role of Project Manager.

-PMP certification.

- For Fundamentals of Business and Management Essentials: to have a combination of three years of work in and teaching experience directly related to assigned teaching responsibility. -For all Business Statistics courses: to have a combination of three years of work and/or teaching experience directly related to assigned teaching responsibility. - To demonstrate an excellent ability to teach upper level courses at the post-secondary level with preference given to candidates with previous successful teaching experience. - To work cooperatively with colleagues in a team environment. - To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. - To possess working knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies.
