Job description

Permanent, 27 hours per week

We are seeking an effective, efficient and enthusiastic administrator to work in Registry Services. Are you interested in supporting postgraduate research student (PGR) programmes and graduation? Our Registry Service is a small and vibrant team committed to continuous improvement of the student experience and the processes and systems we use to manage it. Based in a central department and working collaboratively across the institution, the successful candidate will be adept at working across teams to achieve goals. You will have previous experience of administration in a busy and diverse environment. You will be flexible, solutions-focused and pragmatic. Accustomed to working with a broad range of people, you will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

The purpose of the post is:

  • To provide an excellent customer service including a frontline enquiry point for advice and guidance to students, staff and other stakeholders. This may be by telephone, email, correspondence, in person or online, responding in a professional manner. The role requires a high level of customer focus and attention to detail.
  • To carry out administrative and regulatory processes related to PGR examinations, student casework and graduation, using existing protocols and contributing to the development of improved processes and taking responsibility for your own performance.
  • You will be adept at using computer based systems, including Microsoft Office, webpage editing and financial systems
