Responsible to the Director of the Student Health Clinic for evaluating and treating student health complaints following nursing protocols; ensuring the scientific application of the principles of nursing science, patient safety, and patient teaching; utilizing nursing skills in health promotion, disease prevention, and restoration of health; and performing other related duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position self and balance. The employee must occasionally move (including lift, carry, push, and pull) up to 100 pounds or more. The employee must perceive and respond to sounds and alarms; communicate effectively with others; observe and monitor situations and details at close range in full and dimmed light. The employee may be required to move and/or stay in a stationary position in various settings for up to 12 hours at a time in addition to preparing and closing a clinical shift. Rapid mobility may also be required on occasion. Physical expectations of an assigned clinical facility may vary and be subject to change.
Stress levels may be high due to frequently dealing with numerous students, patients, family members, and other healthcare providers. This position demands concentration and the ability to work in emotionally-charged situations.
