Job Description Summary
The Regional Assistant is responsible to the Regional Director for assisting in the daily administrative/facilitative responsibilities at the Oak Brook Regional location. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing faculty, staff and student support services; providing technology support throughout the site to all faculty and students; supporting the student id card process; monitoring facility and equipment usage; providing general descriptive information of program opportunities to prospective students; providing instructional sessions for students, faculty and staff; and providing quality support to the Regional Director.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Manage the on-site daily operations in the absence of the Regional Director. -Assist faculty and students with issues related to the University and its programs and services. -Provide on-site technology support to faculty and students in support of effective teaching and learning. -Manage the process for student identification cards, including taking student photos. -Recommend technology needs to the Regional Director in order to create an effective teaching-learning environment. -Work with the IT department to maintain technology inventory and process all technology trouble tickets with follow through. -Provide reception for visitors, while answering telephone and written inquiries giving prompt and accurate information to all faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors. -Assist with special events including but not limited to: presidential receptions, information sessions, open houses, meetings and advising sessions as they relate to various academic programs. -Assist in creating internal communications such as room signs, memorandums, newsletters, etc. -Assist students in the use of computer database searches and laboratory software as well as troubleshoot problems. -Role model a strong customer service orientation and demonstrate quality interpersonal skills to enhance team efforts at every level. -Manage any facility needs that arise, including contacting Building Management and/or escorting students -Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director. -Manage the on-site daily operations in the absence of the Regional Director.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree with previous office experience (particularly in an educational setting) is preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written format. Must possess exemplary technology skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products. The ability to independently handle comprehensive short- and long-term tasks with care and follow through and good organizational skills are also essential.

Note: This position is primarily an evening position to provide graduate classroom support to faculty and students at the Oak Brook campus. Must have reliable transportation.
