  • We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoc to join our research group CVP at Clermont-Ferrand (https: // iccf.uca.fr/recherche/photochimie/cycle-de-vie- des-polymeres/).

A number of projects that are ongoing in our group deal with the environmental impact of polymer materials. The post-doc position will be involved in the H2020 TERMINUS project (https: // www. terminus-b020.eu/).

TERMINUS addresses the challenge of unlocking recycling and reuse of flexible multi-layer and multi-compounds packaging. The hired postdoc should develop a prototype device for delamination of a multilayer packaging system produced with TERMINUS technology. Works will be done to validate and optimize the delamination conditions in the prototype device. After sorting and separation in the prototype device, the recyclability and the lifetime durability of the selected layers will be studied and evaluated. The separated materials will be recycled in non-food applications by extrusion.

    Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree in chemical engineering, materials science, or equivalent. Previous experience with recycling and rheology of polymer is merit.

Further, practical experience with the processing of polymer materials is preferred.

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the work, the candidate is expected to have excellent collaboration skills. A very good capability of communicating scientific results in English, both orally and in writing is required.
