We're looking to appoint an ambitious and motivated Recruitment Manager to lead the University's dedicated in-house recruitment team, responsible for attracting and appointing talented colleagues across all areas of the organisation.
Supported by a team of three Recruitment Advisors and one Administrator, the Recruitment Manager oversees end-to-end recruitment activity across a range of academic and professional service areas, offering advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers whilst developing recruitment practices that are innovative, effective, and that enable the appointment of high-quality candidates. Working alongside colleagues in Organisational Development, the Recruitment manager will champion equality, diversity and inclusivity, and ensure these values are embedded in all recruitment and selection activity.
The Recruitment Manager will offer coaching and guidance to the Recruitment Advisors and Administrator in the team; supporting their professional development as well as managing pastoral issues as line manager. The post holder will lead on ongoing development and administration of the University's applicant tracking system, and contribute to the implementation of a new HR system acting as subject matter expert for recruitment matters. The Recruitment Manager will drive continuous improvement and development of the recruitment service, developing the University's approach to effective candidate attraction, candidate experience, and regulatory compliance; specifically in relation to DBS and UKVI.
To be successful in this role, candidates will need to be CIPD qualified and to demonstrate experience of working in a recruitment or HR role. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing innovative recruitment and selection processes, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. It is essential that the post holder possess an up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law, and have a strong working knowledge of automated recruitment systems. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to develop positive, productive and collaborative professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This role is currently offered on a blended-working basis with the opportunity for remote working approximately two days per week.
What's in it for you?
From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £37,100 - £41,732, with the opportunity to progress to £45,585.
