Recruitment Lead
Job description
Human Resources
We currently have a fixed-term vacancy for a Recruitment Lead – the role is 0.8 FTE so 4 days per week or reduced hours across 5 days. It is a 12-month contract as the role is to support the team while some people will be working on a new recruitment system project. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus, (either our Exeter or Cornwall campus) and some from home.
The role
This is a pivotal and exciting time to join the University. Led by our Strategy 2030, the recruitment team will support the University's purpose and vision by attracting and selecting the best talent globally. We are looking to hire an experienced Recruitment/HR specialist to support the strategic recruitment needs of an academic Faculty/some Support Services.
As a Recruitment Lead, you will work in partnership with recruiting managers and HR Business Partners on recruitment strategy in those areas. You will support complex, cross-business, cross-geography recruiting projects – leading and coordinating the activity of different stakeholders in recruitment, HR and the Line Managers. You will deliver an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience ensuring inclusion and diversity are central to the recruitment process.
We are looking for an individual who really loves supporting an organisation to attract and hire talent. You will be someone who really cares about, and wants to support, the customer; has an innovative and questioning mind-set; works efficiently and productively and has the ability to build really strong relationships. Team working is critical to the way our recruitment team operates. We are supportive , collaborative , and respectful and seek to deliver our values on a daily basis. It is a fast paced environment but you will join a team consisting of Recruitment Leads, Coordinators and Administrators who work closely together and support one another.
You
You will ideally have previous experience with in-house recruitment and be used to consulting and influencing at senior management level. Relationship management skills and a strong customer focus are critical for this role. We are also looking for experience of leading the search process for key roles, with the ability to source, select and recruit senior level candidates. You will be used to supporting multiple client groups and managing a challenging and complex workload with experience of a variety of sourcing methods and knowledge of international employment. The role needs someone who is happy to work at a variety of levels and not be afraid to jump in and support the team in any capacity.
