Faculty will maintain a full time workload effective Fall 2022.
This is an Assistant Professor, full-time tenure track position to teach a
full workload starting in fall 2022.
A minimum of a doctoral degree with at least one degree in Recreational
Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation. The candidate must have a current
certification by NCTRC as a CTRS. The candidate will have a minimum of three
(3) years direct practice experience as a CTRS. Competence in using academic
technology platforms for teaching. Commitment to the education of diverse
populations. Successful performance in an interview and teaching
At least one year of university level teaching experience. Active membership
in professional associations representing the field of Recreational Therapy.
The knowledge, skill and experience to teach of the following courses:
Community Inclusion & Diversity, RT for Individuals with Physical
Disabilities, Clinical Aspect of RT, Organization and Management of
Recreational Therapy Services, Challenges & Trends in RT, and Practicum.
Academic advisement and internship supervision will also be expected.
