Job Title Records and Registration Assistant FLSA Non-Exempt Job Type Full Time Job Status Regular Job Summary/Basic Function

The Records and Registration Assistant performs a variety of tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the office that includes but is not limited to providing clerical assistance to the Assistant Registrar, Registrar, and the Academic Advising team. The Records and Registration Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the campus community, and is also accountable for record maintenance, maintaining the campus-wide room reservation system, processing transcript requests, and enrollment verifications. The Assistant will greet incoming visitors; answer and screen incoming phone calls; monitor and respond to email requests received through the office alias email address.

  • Ability to organize tasks and work independently, completing job duties, projects, and assignments with general supervision and manage a number of tasks at once.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure of multiple demands.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal and human relations skills; ability to interact appropriately with a wide variety of people including staff, faculty, and students.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and database management; ability to learn and use a student information system and other software programs.
  • Ability to review and verify documents for accuracy; attention to detail is critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance.
  • Ability to work regular established hours of operation and additional hours as business necessitates.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in an office environment
  • Florida Notary or ability to obtain Notary Certification
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in student records management and knowledge of automated student information systems in higher education
