The team is also responsible for managing repair and maintenance of the University's 933 Graduate Accommodation units across the City, along with 140 commercially let domestic properties both within Oxford and in the surrounding villages.

About the Role

Working closely alongside the Responsive Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for complex repairs and maintenance as well as planned project work across the Functional, Residential and Graduate portfolios.

You will need to be a self-motivated and enthusiastic problem-solver, with considerable experience of project management, construction and the investigation of building defects.

You will be required to collate and assess a range of technical information in order to advise on the best course of action to fix the fault, repair the damage, and ensure that any other potential risks of failure in similar building fabric across the Estate are identified and effectively mitigated.

About You

We're looking for a natural problem-solver who enjoys variety in their working life. Someone who relishes collaboration and working as part of a strong multi-disciplinary team.

You will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills and experience of identifying, managing and delivering complex repair and maintenance work with a high turnover of projects and competing deadlines.

Existing knowledge of current health and safety legislation relating to construction sites, along with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and codes of practice will also be essential.

Above all, you will need to demonstrate a confident can-do attitude, and the ability to work flexibly and adaptably to make sure that the team as a whole are able to provide the best possible service to our customers.

You will also need to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure dealing with constraints that are often outside of your control.
