The Department of Radiology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine seeks a clinical MRI Physicist to serve on the faculty and perform the following functions: contribute to clinical services by optimizing MRI based clinical and research imaging protocols, assist in design and execution of MRI data collection and analysis, develop an ongoing process for quality assurance, ensure regulatory compliance and ACR accreditation, conduct equipment acceptance testing, evaluate new technologies and upgrades, provide MR physics education for resident and fellow training programs, and carry out MRI research, including clinical trials, and collaborate with others conducting such research.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in multiple aspects of MRI, with preference given to those applicants with experience including in advanced techniques such as diffusion tensor imaging, perfusion, cardiovascular and functional MRI. Ph.D. with certification by the American Board of Radiology (Diagnostic Radiological Physics) or the American Board of Medical Physics (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physics) or equivalent preferred.
