The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position has primary responsibility for the delivery of psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation and follow-up, and crisis intervention/emergency services for students, as well as consultation and support to faculty, staff and parents. This is a 3 year position.
Required Qualifications
A DNP or Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to job functions. Must have completed an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) training program and be licensed as an APRN in the State of Florida and Board Certified.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience/expertise in psychiatric treatment interventions with diverse college-age populations. Should have personal attributes that enable them to facilitate effective interpersonal relationships and communicate with colleagues and patients as well as a wide range of students, faculty, staff, parents and administrators.
