Position descriptionThe Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the School of Biological Sciences is currently accepting applications in the area of the cellular, temporal and spatial dynamics of amyloid deposition and pathogenesis in transgenic models of Alzheimer's disease. The person in the position will perform experiments with transgenic mice under the direction of Dr. Charles Glabe (https: // www. faculty.uci.edu/Glabe). This NIH-funded project uses cell population-specific labeling of proteome to study the contributions of different populations of neurons and glia to amyloid deposition and the temporal and spatial mechanisms of plaque deposition and maturation.
