    You are a detail oriented, highly motivated project officer with the ability to take initiative, provide advice and solutions through logical, creative and innovating thinking. You thrive in a fast-paced complex environment and work well autonomously or as part of a team bringing joy and optimism. You have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to easily build rapport at all levels of an organisation.

    About the Role

    With a direct reporting line to the Executive Officer, you will work closely with the Academic Unit executive team to provide high level project support on a wide range of projects, evaluating, and reporting against key milestones and deliverables. You will support the Dean of Research and Dean of Programs with high quality administration support for research projects and related activities, contributing to a vibrant research culture in addition to making a positive contribution to the delivery of world class teaching, research and education services.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related area or extensive equivalent experience gained within a university environment, demonstrating an understanding of teaching, learning and research
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of projects requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships across functional boundaries
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation of statistical data and the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • High-level administrative skills including experience providing executive officer support to committees, experience in developing and maintaining high level paper-based and electronic administrative systems, and experience in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and anticipate requirements. High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision and acting as a team-player
  • Superior interpersonal / communication skills and experience building relationships and demonstrating the highest level of customer service with a diverse range of people and cultures at various levels
