At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, communications officers, network technicians and engineers. Here we have the research specialisations of Embedded Systems, and Innovation and Product Realisation. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.

Position description

One of our project managers is going for a parental leave, and we need a replacement. We are looking for you who are interested in research and experienced in coordination of European projects.

You will work in Embedded Systems research environment and, more specifically, in a group specialized in coordinating large European, industrial collaborative research projects. The research environment comprises of researchers mainly in Computer and Data Science, but other disciplines and subdisciplines can also be included. Group's network includes large and small industries from many domains such as automotive, communications, space, etc., and universities and institutes, from all Europe. The group consists of project managers specializing at European industrial collaborative research projects and currently coordinates four European projects: AIDOaRt (ECSEL), VeriDevOps (H2020 ICT), CIRCLE LAB (ERASMUS+) and UpSkills (HEU), and supports a set of other projects: IndTech (KKS), DIAS (ECSEL), InSecTT (ECSEL), ImmerSafe (H2020 MSCA) and CIRCLA (VINNOVA). Beside this we are also coordinating a set of proposals to different calls, mainly in HEU (KDT, MSCA, CL3 and CL4) but other calls and topics can appear.

The scope for the position is to replace our colleague on leave, but reshuffling of the duties can be done to fit the competencies you have and to satisfy continuity in the coordinated projects. You will work operationally in project management, on all levels and the working language is English.

You are supposed to work independently and take own responsibility, even if we aim at close collaboration in the team, coupling or twinning with a more or a less experienced colleague. You are good in coordinating, taking initiative and leading own tasks as well as prioritizing among assignments and delivering within the required deadlines. You are also expected to work in tight collaboration with the rest of the team.

You will work within IDT, Networked and Embedded Systems division

Qualification requirements

You are expected to have

  • at least a Master in European Project Planning or similar
  • documented experiences from coordination of Horizon proposals, coordinating and reporting on Horizon projects
  • experience in research administration
  • very good language skills in English, both in speaking and writing
  • good language skills in Swedish are required too, alternatively you are expected to reach this level after 6 months
  • reliability, good ability to cooperate, structure, ability to communicate
