Job Summary
Drives cross-functional projects of low-to-medium complexity. Leads
distributed teams, which often consist of representatives from a myriad of
university departments, runs multiple projects simultaneously and shepherds
projects through the project life cycle. Manages and ‘owns' all phases of
multiple projects from ‘initiation' to ‘completion'. Typical projects involve
multiple departments/divisions/systems and may be at the departmental,
divisional or enterprise level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead project team and key stakeholders (business, vendors and technical)
through project initiation to define project charter, perform stakeholder
analysis, identify project approach, and plan and facilitate project
kickoff.
Drive the project planning stage and facilitate team collaboration to
identify requirements and develop a project plan that includes budget,
timeline, risk register, resource planning, and communication approach.
Oversee all vendor engagements and equipment provisioning where
applicable.
Lead the execution of the project(s). Direct and manage all work,
perform all aspects of quality management, select and manage project team,
manage communication, take action to secure necessary procurements and
manage stakeholder expectations.
Manage project risks and create risk response strategies and options
including escalation and mitigation. Track project costs in order to meet
budget
Monitor project activities through the project life cycle for quality and
efficiency to ensure alignment with project goals and approach.
Provide and communicate project status updates to leadership, key
stakeholders, and project teams through the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience managing projects.
CJIS Certification or ability to pass and maintain CJIS certification upon
hire.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or similar Project management certification
Master's Degree or MBA
Experience working with Public Safety, Access-control, or other security-
based platforms.
Five (5) years' experience leading projects within higher education
setting.
Experience with Change Management and resource capacity.
Experience in creating statements of work, and vendor evaluation and
managing contractor resources.
Experience using Project Management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow,
SharePoint or equivalent.
