Job description
Estate Management design, repair, maintain and secure all campuses. We aim to provide a seamless service to all students, staff and visitors. Covering a multitude of services, we are available to assist with any issue concerning the University estate and grounds.
We are now seeking a Project Manager for our Capital Development team. The Capital Development team are responsible for the master planning and development of all campuses. The team manage a large capital programme from inception to completion, delivering projects on budget, on programme and to a high standard of quality.
Duties of the Role
This post will assist with the management of the University's capital programme development, implementation and delivery; including new build and refurbishment / extension projects. The post holder will deliver first class projects, forming the necessary links between all involved parties to deliver pragmatic function-based designs in keeping with the University's aspirations and objectives.
You will ensure efficient and effective project management to meet targets set against scope, budget and timescale. Responsibilities will include preparation of tender documents, reviewing, analysing and recommending appointments.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the management of capital projects covering large and complex projects across a wide variety of built environments supported by substantial experience and proven and demonstrable experience in the design, implementation and management of capital programmes, processes and procedures. You will have the ability to assimilate high volume and complex data and communicate effectively with a wide and diverse range of clients / stakeholders.
