Posting Summary:
Reporting to the International Lab for Research and Leadership in Interfaith Research and Coexistence's Executive Director, Dr. Amra Sabic-El-Rayess, the Project & Curriculum Implementation Director (P&CID) will co-lead curriculum design efforts with the Senior Researcher & Curriculum Director. P&CID will be responsible for the development of all curricular and education-based programming. This role will also oversee the Lab's Manager responsible for project management and logistics to ensure high-quality execution, management, and maintenance of all programming.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Work with the Lab's Executive Director to drive overall direction and project delivery to ensure activities are in line with the Lab's mission to advance innovative and evidence-based approaches to radicalization, hate, and violence based on identity (including, but not limited to, religion, race, and ethnicity). • Independently conceptualize, design, plan, and write rigorous and innovative curricula for projects at the Lab aimed at lessening targeted violence and eradicating hate through interfaith collaboration. • Independently conceptualize, design, plan, and write rigorous and innovative lessons for individual program components consistent with the current research on radicalization and violence prevention that the team is collectively advancing. • Demonstrate cross-cultural competency through the conceptualization, development, and execution of curricular and educational programs focused on Interfaith collaboration, dialogue, and coexistence. • Initiate new projects, direct existing projects, and demonstrate strategic and technical leadership and direction to achieve demonstrable and measurable impact through a portfolio of the Lab's projects. • Ensure timely curricula development and demonstrate the capacity to envision the use and integration of educational technologies in the curricula. • Drive curricular research, monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of the curriculum implementation to increase mission-aligned organization impact. • Manage and mentor team members in developing evidence-based educational and curricular content. • Deliver workshops and educational content in-person and virtually, both domestically and internationally. • Collaborate with team members, the public sector, the private sector, academic stakeholders, and colleagues to deliver rigorous and innovative educational programming. • Represent the Lab as an expert in current trends and innovations in educational and curricular methodologies and pedagogies. • Recruit, supervise, and manage curriculum and education development consultants and contract support staff. • Assist the Executive Director in approving and overseeing the Lab's overall expense and programmatic workflow. • Oversee Program Manager and ensure overall project financials and operations to optimize resources through sound budgets, consistent financial tracking, recruitment and hiring workflow, clear work plan priorities and results
Minimum Qualifications: • Master's degree in Education • 4-7 years of experience in curriculum, program development, and management • Excellent research, written, listening, presentation, and communication skills. • Knowledge of or experience with using online learning management systems and tools. • Able to think outside the box to find solutions to curriculum challenges. • Able to give and receive feedback from a variety of team members. • Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design, along with a working knowledge of current academic trends. • Evidence of being a self-starter and independent thinking • Must possess leadership skills to lead groups in curriculum development, review, and evaluate curriculum and education delivery. • Must possess working knowledge of global educational trends, interfaith collaboration, identity-based violence, extremism, radicalization, and/or other related topics. • Experience in managing and working under grant-funded projects. • Experience in in-person, innovative, and online curriculum development. • Experience working with private, public, and academic stakeholders. • Experience in curriculum development for K-12 to adult learners. • Experience in curriculum development for a diverse demographic of learners. • Experience in Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Bias curriculum and training. • Strong writing skills
Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrate a keen interest in radicalization research and skills in applying research in practice. • Exceptional work ethic and ability to work flexibly and collaboratively • Knowledge of radicalization and violence prevention literature as well as interest and curiosity in building that knowledge base • Expertise in curriculum development and innovative curricular design • Talent in project management, logistics, execution of programming, and organizational skills
Salary Range:
$83,870 - $104,840
