Your new role

The Faculty of Health Sciences has recently undergone changes to consolidate and align the clinical placement activities from each School into a centralised team. The Clinical Placement Team supports approximately 8,000 students each year who collectively attend more than 18,000 clinical placements annually, liaising with more than 2,500 host organisations across hospital, other healthcare and community contexts. The team are responsible for supporting students, academic staff and providing a first point of contact for enquiries from our host organisations.

As Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Fieldwork Manager and our clinical placement team to scope, streamline and document standard processes and procedures relating to the operational support of our placement program. This role offers an opportunity to put your mark on the establishment of a new team, to shape and develop how the unit moves forward in engaging with key stakeholders and students.

A pivotal part of this position will involve bringing together a diverse and talented team, who work across multiple disciplines and campuses. As such your ability to build strong working relationships, demonstrated experience developing team dynamics, and project management will be key to your success.

This position would be an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience in developing new ways of working and team building, looking to expand their skills by taking the lead in influencing the growth and success of an important function within the University.

To learn more about this opportunity, please contact David Rowbottom , Fieldwork Manager on 08 9266 7744.
