The division of Computer Networks and Systems within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering seeks a junior co-worker to assist with reasearch- and teaching-related tasks.

Information about the research group The VLSI Research Group explores new digital and mixed-signal architectures based on CMOS circuits, primarily driven by performance requirements and power budgets of future advanced telecommunication applications. It also manages the Embedded Electronic System Design MSc Program. The project assistant will support the group with research investigations and with course development.

Job description The project assistant will help evaluate digital tool chain and performance of a semiconductor process selected for use in a research project, and thus support faculty, staff, and PhD students who presently focus on analog/RF design aspects.

The project assistant will also help adapt teaching materials for the course MCC092 in anticipation of process changes for CMOS design classes by the fall of 2022. Contract terms Temporary full-time employment, 1st June - 31st August 2022.

Qualifications The successful applicant will recently have passed MSc-level digital CMOS design courses with excellent grades. Recent attendance of the EESD courses MCC092 and DAT110 is meritorious.

The candidate must be familiar with Cadence-based digital-ASIC design flows, and will have excellent oral and written command of English.
