Who is Staffordshire University?
We are the Connected University with 100 years of experience and ambition in
becoming the UK's foremost digital Institution. Our main campus is located in
Stoke on Trent alongside our Centres of Excellence in Healthcare Education
located in Stafford and Shrewsbury. Staffordshire University London's Digital
Institute is our first campus outside the Midlands.
With more than 10,000 Full Time Undergraduate and Postgraduate students on
campus, we continue to drive innovation and change, aiming to positively
disrupt our sector. For our University, it is about so much more than the
numbers. In fact, if there's one thing that sets us apart, it's our people who
are all #ProudToBeStaffs. Every one of our employees goes above and beyond to
deliver on our connected mission, responding to the needs of our students,

About the role
Research excellence is at the heart of Staffordshire University, central to
the vision and strategy of being the Connected University. In our Strategic
Plan, Innovative and Applied Learning, Connecting Communities, and our
Talented People are all underpinned by research excellence. Our research
supports the curriculum: contributing to a positive student experience and
bringing income to our University, funding research work and impacting
positively upon student recruitment. This in turn grows the reputation of both
our University as an organisation to collaborate with and the region as a
vibrant place to study and work.
Our long-term aim is to be a leading UK Modern University for applied research
and its impact. We are uniquely placed, in an industrial region located
between the Northern Powerhouse and the heart of the Midlands Engine, to make
a substantial contribution to the regional economy and wider society as an
intellectual hub and an anchor institution. We work collaboratively and in an
inter-disciplinary manner to provide imaginative and sustainable solutions to
real-world issues, and to maximise the applied funding opportunities.
We are seeking a Project and Portfolio Coordinator to work within the Project
Delivery Team to provide administrative support for a designated portfolio of
projects, to ensure delivery within timelines and to budget. In addition, you
will be an active member of the Research Innovation and Impact Services
visibility and engagement team, supporting the departments communications and
engagement activity with both our internal and external stakeholders.
