Programmer Analyst responsible for supporting all institutional activities related to the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Proven experience in applications of database in a business environment. Interacts with users, acts as liaison between database management technical group and the functional user group. This position works with the user to evaluate project technology and application needs and assists in the specification of work and resource requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of the following skills, abilities and/or qualifications:

1. Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, PhP, Javascript, Angular JS, React, Ajax, CSS, ProC, XML, API's PowerShell, and iPaaS.

2. Thorough knowledge of Oracle Functionality and PL/SQL syntaxes.

3. Knowledge of database concepts including entity relationship diagrams, data flows, and data normalization.

4. Experience with the Linux environment and working knowledge of Linux tools.

5. Experience with IDE Tools such as Eclipse and SQL Developer or similar tools to develop reports and web applications.

6. Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, PowerBI, and Tableau.

7. Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and logic skills.

8. A team player with good communication skills.

Required Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in any information systems-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience and/or certifications 2. Experience: 1+ years of professional experience in an application development environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Job Duties

Job Duties

Create and modify PL/SQL programming scripts (e.g., Views, Functions, Procedures, Triggers, and Materialized Views) needed for maintenance, report writing, data conversion, and modification.

Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duties

Meet with users to determine reporting needs. Report writing using Oracle Reports, Cognos, PLSQL, ProC and/or other tools as required.

Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duties

Programmer will be able to work independently, be able to express the problem, have the ability to synthesize a solution; suggest an implementation and work toward resolution with minimal assistance.

Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duties

Coordinate with users and technical team to apply Patches and Upgrades to Banner software, requiring extensive knowledge of Oracle packages, triggers and stored procedures.

Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duties

Performs tasks following the project plan with completion in a prescribed timeframe.

Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duties

Research new releases, upgrades, patches, known issues, resolutions and suggestions using Ellucian Support Center and eCommunities. Assist users in troubleshooting Banner and BanWeb Self-Service related problems.

Programming with PLSQL, Java, JavaScript, PROC, PROCOBOL, and other programming languages as required.

Work with 3rd party vendors to integrate with the Banner ERP.
