Role Description

Hull York Medical School is seeking a Programme Administrator to support the running of its postgraduate taught courses

Hull York Medical School is a collaboration between the Universities of Hull and York and the NHS. The medical school offers a range of CPD and postgraduate taught programmes, alongside the flagship medicine undergraduate course.

The Programme Administrator is a key operational role in the effective delivery of academic programmes in the medical school. This post will have particular administrative responsibility for the CATALYST career development programme for new to practice GPs.

You will be an experienced and highly organised administrator, able to plan your workload to prioritise tasks effectively. You will be the first point of contact for our students and so you will need great communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

This post is for a fixed term period to 31 August 2025, due to availability of funding. It is a part-time role at 0.6FTE over 3 days per week. It is based primarily at the University of Hull campus, with occasional travel to the University of York required. Hybrid home/office working is supported.

To discuss this role informally please contact Sarah Fordham ([email protected]) for details of the post, or Professor Joanne Reeve ([email protected]) for details of the CATALYST programme.

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves.

We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are underrepresented at the University.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. #EqualityatYork
