This Simulation Support individual is responsible for the support for the virtual reality (VR) lab, preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting VR equipment, coordinating the VR schedules, and assisting the Simulation Education Manager with the coordination of the simulated participant (SP) program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for proper setup, operation, and technical support of the virtual reality simulation activities.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services of virtual reality simulation equipment while adhering to all established protocols. Communicate repairs and troubleshooting to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist and train instructors and simulation facilitators on virtual reality simulation equipment as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination of the simulated participant program, including scheduling and notification of assignments. This will include the use of

    Required Qualifications

  • Technical or Associates degree in supporting disciples such as biomedical, medical, electronics, computer information technologies, supply management, or equivalent required.
  • Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of simulation-based experience in the healthcare profession.
  • Knowledge of the simulated participant concept and requirements.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proficiency with virtual reality (VR) platforms, PC applications, desktop, laptops, and relevant software application.
  • Ability to use audio/visual equipment.
  • Must present with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Must work effectively both in a team setting and individual setting.
  • Must be able to be proactive and take initiative.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
