Salary Information $46,655 Department Summary
The Advanced Environmental Research Institute is one of the “Institutes of Research Excellence” at the University of North Texas. AERI is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of researchers committed to collaborating on large research projects with an emphasis on applying research findings to solutions for the most pressing environmental issues. AERI also fosters mentored research and training opportunities for students to help prepare them for career fields that address challenging environmental, sustainability, and injustice issues in novel ways.
The mission of AERI is to foster, facilitate, and conduct collaborative interdisciplinary science-based environmental research that provides an understanding of how human actions impact the environment and then uses that knowledge to suggest scientific, engineering, policy, and/or educational solutions to mitigate real-world environmental problems.
Position Overview
This position will be responsible for supporting the AERI Director and Proposal Manager with proposal submissions, funding research opportunities, pre-award administration, and meeting with faculty and students concerning funding opportunities. This position is responsible for a variety of task which may include grant writing, proposal development, outreach, assisting with development and training as needed, reporting, and program development

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Job Duties

Plan, promote, and implement activities related to AERI proposal submissions, which may include proof reading, editing, writing, developing, reporting, presenting, and/ or training
o
Assist with implementation, development, planning, researching, promotion, dissemination, and logistical support of proposal submissions for AERI research.
o
Maintain database and report accurately on proposal submissions.
o
Maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders, and act as a point of contact within AER
