  • About This Opportunity

    The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of the One UQ Web roadmap Program. This role encompasses leading project outcomes across all aspects of the project life-cycle, including planning, developing processes to monitor and evaluate the project, managing project deliverables and communication, facilitating stakeholder engagements and supporting project reporting requirements.

    UQ has committed to the one UQ Web Roadmap Program, aimed at creating a greatly improved user experience for everyone who interacts with our external web channel.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing detailed project plans for all phases of the project life-cycle
  • Effectively leading and managing the project team, including planning and prioritising project team activities
  • Implementing and when required adjusting best-practice project management methodologies
  • Working creatively to identify and resolve complex issues or problems impacting the successful delivery of project outcomes
  • In partnership with Change Manager and senior sponsor - leading, developing and executing a communication strategy for different project stakeholders
  • Facilitating the Program Steering Committee and Project Control Group meetings
  • Monitoring, tracking, and controlling project outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
  • About You

    We are after an experienced Program Manager or Senior Project Manager with passion for digital transformation. You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex and/or digital focussed projects, ideally within a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrated expertise in the application of best-practice project management methodologies as appropriate to the size, scale, scope and complexity of the project - Experience with JIRA is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated high level organisational ability, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Experience leading project team staff, including planning, organising, performance management, recognition and development of staff.
  • Previous Senior Project Manager or Program Manager experience within a tertiary and/or research institution would be highly valued
  • What We Can Offer

    This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to December 2024 at HEW Level 9.

    The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $119,899- $126,879 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $140,282 - $148,488 per annum.
