Position Description Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions

Assists faculty in planning and developing clinical trials and monitors protocol of research projects.

Serves as liaison with internal external collaborative research.

Assist faculty in development and submission of Research Grants.

Complete research application and submit updated documentation through the Institutional Review board.

Assists with Manuscript submission for publications.

Provides administrative support to faculty and residents, as needed.

Presentation preparation (poster, slides).

Provides department administrator with administrative support and special projects, as needed. Serves on campus committees pertaining to department and position.

Process and supervise research volunteers.

Provides administrative back-up coverage to the Residence & Clerkship coordinators.

Other duties, as assigned. Assist with implementation of new educational programs (fellowship etc.)

Ability to systematically collect data and develop data base systems

Research experience preferred

Strong work ethic effective communication skills

Advanced computer skills

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish: orally and written. Interpersonal abilities.

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative certified or ability to complete certification
