Title Program Coordinator - EDGE Position Number 3140 Job Summary
Under general direction, the Program Coordinator will provide support services such as typing, distribution, and report preparation for special projects generated by the Equity Bridge Program (EBP).
· Facilitate, coordinate, and assist Admissions to the program · Coordinate projects initiated by PA Program faculty · Assist in preparation of EBP Projects · Request equipment or supplies necessary for the respective projects · Create and oversee mentorship program including alumni networking, pairing, and overseeing the mentorship program · Attend project meetings · Prepare progress reports · Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations, as needed · Contact different PA programs to set up virtual presentations with our students and the program · Coordinate, organize, facilitate, and network to set up virtual presentations by different speakers in different fields of medicine, financial literacy, social sciences, and others · If needed, network with different medical providers in the student's geographical area to set up shadowing experience for the students · Evaluate direct patient care hours for the student by evaluating the student for qualifications or certificates they might have and if needed, facilitate opportunities to increase their hours · Assist in coordinating mock interviews in consultation with faculty · Assist in scholarship allotment, curriculum purchases, and any other stipends or payments necessary in conjunction with PA program managers · Perform other duties as assigned.
· Bachelor's degree in biological, clinical, or social sciences from a regionally accredited institution.
· A Master's degree is preferred. · Two (2) or more years of administrative experience
· Must possess superior organizational and planning skills. · Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep detailed, accurate records · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Proficiency in statistical software, Excel, Word, and video conferencing programs · Must be fluent in English
