Midland University Omaha is seeking a Program Advisor for the Center for
Graduate and Professional Studies to work with prospective graduate and non-
traditional students throughout the admissions and enrollment process, as well
as coordinate and attend events for these students. This candidate will report
to the Director of the Center for Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS)
and will be based out of the Midland Omaha location.
Job duties will include:
Recruiting graduate or non-traditional students through outbound calling, attendance at relevant local events, and fostering corporate connections.
Maintaining regular proactive contact with prospective students from initial stages of inquiry through enrollment, sometimes in non-traditional hours.
Manage incoming applications, including interviews and initial application review
Organizing and hosting on-campus and off-campus orientation and recruitment events.
Building relationships with prospective students, Midland partners, and the Omaha community
Be a primary point of contact for enrolled students on program and curricular concerns, including management of continued registration.
Supporting students with scholarships, financial aid awards, billing questions and payment plans.
Job requirements:
A bachelor's degree, and 2+ years of work experience
An ability to initiate regular, proactive conversations with prospective
students over the phone in a professional tone
An ability to build trusting and effective relationships with students,
faculty and other campus support staff.
A thorough understanding of the value of continuing education
An ability to work recruiting events that necessarily take place outside
of normal business hours
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
An ability to multi-task while meeting goal-oriented deadlines
Preferred skills:
Previous experience working in recruitment or sales
Previous experience in higher education
