The Role

The post provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a major ongoing collaboration between the Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Worcester and Gloucestershire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This joint post is offered at either Professor or Associate Professor level subject to experience but in all cases the candidate will be an internationally recognised academic committed to pursuing pioneering research in their field as well as developing research in areas aligning to cross- cutting NHS Trust / College research themes. The appointee will be encouraged to develop new collaborative research group areas in order to develop a Centre of Excellence for Nursing and Midwifery research.

This post is offered on a 60/40 model in favour of practice, split between both organisations.

This joint post provides a unique opportunity to make a major contribution to the research profile of both organisations and will help develop the nursing and midwifery research capacity and capability to support nurses and midwives to be research active and enable development of a culture of nursing and midwifery academic inquiry.

The post holder will be supported as part of the wider University and Trust professors' group and will work closely with other research leaders in both organisations and will contribute to core research activities, research governance and management duties. There will be an expectation of making a significant contribution to the REF 2027.
