Job Description:

The School of Justice Studies (SJS) at Roger Williams University invites applications for a Tenure Track Associate Professor or Professor of Cybersecurity and Networking, beginning Fall 2022. Responsibilities include teaching advanced courses in Cybersecurity and Networking. Specialization is open. The individual hired will be expected to provide excellence in teaching using all modalities including face-to-face, online, and hybrid deliveries. In addition to the role of teaching, the candidate will also serve as Program Director, advise students and maintain a high level of professional activities through quality research and service at both Bristol and Providence campuses.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will maintain excellence in teaching, engage in an active program of scholarship that results in peer-reviewed journal publications, participate in service activities, and advise forensic science students. Candidate should have an established record or strong potential for high quality innovative instruction; have research in quality peer-reviewed publications, and engage in service to the University and community. Preference will be given to those that have administrative experience (program director, chair, etc.) in cybersecurity or computer science higher education. We seek a colleague who is enthusiastic about teaching and instructional innovation, and who will be an engaged member of the School of Justice Studies as well as the campus community at large. Applicants should have a Ph.D. Candidates that hold a JD only will not be considered.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
