Offer Description

The position encompasses work in the field of physico-chemistry of polymers and polymeric materials, with particular emphasis on the synthesis and study of the properties of polymers and copolymers with different architectures, including biodegradable polymers, the possibility of creating colloidal systems, as well as the study of polymeric nano- and microparticles towards obtaining biomedical materials for controlled drug delivery and applications in medical diagnostics.

Research and other work in which the candidate will be involved:

Conducting research in the physico-chemistry of polymers and polymeric materials, with particular emphasis on the synthesis and study of the properties of polymers and copolymers with different architectures, including biodegradable polymers, the possibility of creating colloidal systems, as well as the study of polymeric nanoparticles and microparticles in the direction of obtaining biomedical materials for controlled drug delivery and applications in medical diagnostics;

Development of cultivated research topics and exploration of new topics. Leading a research team on the above topics;

Development of methodology and training of research staff. Promoting doctoral dissertations;

Acquisition of funds for research and purchase of research equipment;

Active participation in the development of scientific research of Functional Polymers and Polymer Materials Division and in increasing the publication output of CMMS PAS.

Conditions to be fulfilled by the candidate:

Professor title in chemical, physical, technical or related sciences;

Proven scientific achievements in the field of physico-chemistry of polymeric materials, especially related to the topics presented above in item 1 (publications in journals from the Philadelphia List with high IF and patents);

Participation in international conferences, including invited presentations by the organizers;

Experience in leading a scientific team and supervising doctoral students;

Experience in cooperation with other scientific centers;

Proven ability to raise funds for scientific research, apply for research projects and direct their execution;

Review activity (participation in editorial committees of journals, performance of reviews of journal articles, reviews for domestic and foreign grant institutions).

Selection process

The competition will be adjudicated by 27.12.2023

During the competition proceedings, candidates may be asked to present their past achievements in the form of a seminar at CMMS PAS.

The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code for an indefinite period of time or under a term contract.
