    CQUniversity is seeking an outstanding and innovative Professor of Education to lead and drive the research agenda in Education. You will be nationally and internally recognised in your Education Field of Research and will continue to build research capacity and reputation for the School. You will collaborate with external partners, government, industry and professional bodies and attract nationally competitive grants which will raise the profile and research standing of the University.

    Ideally your research focus and approach will align with our vision - to be Australia's most accessible, supportive and engaged university, recognised globally for innovating teaching and research excellence. You will continue to lead research in regional and rural education while contributing to a positive research culture within the School. This is your opportunity to shape the future and new approaches to practice in the ever-evolving education sector.

    Position Requirements
  • Doctoral qualification (PhD) and recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.

  • Demonstrated track record of international and/or national reputation for excellence in research as evidenced by peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals, citation metrics and securing competitive research grants.

  • Demonstrated academic leadership, including a record of building successful multi-disciplinary teams and driving performance in a large and complex organisational environment.

  • An understanding of current professional and educational issues within higher education, the Australian research sector and evidence of well- developed professional links with government, industry and community.

  • Demonstrated experience in successful supervision of research higher degree students.

  • You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
