Position Summary:
The Department of Criminology at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Professional Teaching Position (tenure-track) at the Assistant Professor level. The Department of Criminology offers one of Laurier's largest social sciences programs and is located on Laurier's Brantford Campus, offering Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in criminology. We are seeking a qualified candidate with any specialization relevant to the field of criminology. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Candidates must hold a PhD in Criminology (or closely related discipline) conferred by July 1, 2024.
The appointment will begin July 1, 2024, subject to budgetary approval. Candidates will also have the opportunity to start as early as January 1, 2024 on a six-month Limited Term Appointment in advance of their appointment. Faculty holding a Professional Teaching position at Laurier teach six (6) one-term courses annually.
