Finance & Procurement Directorate Professional & Business Support Grade 7 - £38,205 - £42,978 per annum, dependent on experience

In this fast paced and dynamic role, you will work across the academic and professional services portfolios, and across all areas of spend.

You will have a strong background in public sector procurement, with technical procurement experience across of a variety of category areas.

Additionally, you will have a sound understanding of procurement to enable you to provide a high level of specialist advice & direction.

The role encompasses:

• developing and delivering procurement strategies across all category areas and spend management

• developing strong working relationships across multiple disciplines in both professional services and academic areas

• managing key stakeholders

• analysing data and presenting reports to senior stakeholders

• using planning techniques and risk management competencies

• developing option appraisals and creating commercial recommendations

The Procurement Team sits within the Finance and Procurement Directorate and is recognised for its value and contribution to achieving the core ambitions of the university.

We are recruiting to strengthen the existing team's capacity in order to influence the potential in the University's existing supply chain and future procurement requirements.
