Drive a new strategic vision for Charles Darwin University (CDU) TAFE in this key senior executive leadership role.

 

About the Position
As Pro Vice-Chancellor – Chief Executive CDU TAFE, you will join the University at an exciting time and will have the opportunity to establish CDU TAFE, providing strategic leadership to realise the University's growth agenda for vocational education and training. Leveraging strong, long-term partnerships with government, industry, local Indigenous communities and organisations, you will develop and implement new strategies and create a new collaborative model for vocational and higher education in a dual-sector context to provide the very best outcomes for students, employers and the community.

 

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Proven ability to lead the delivery of vocation education training services both nationally and internationally.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, including a record of achievement in creating and leading an effective team culture based on collective effort, high performance and engagement, and in managing organisational change.
  • A proven track record in large scale contract management, including winning contestable funding, executing in complex and diverse organisations and geographies and collecting evidence to demonstrate excellence. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage all operational aspects of a Faculty including effective management of budgets and resources.
  • A demonstrated capacity for astute strategic thinking and a proven record of accomplishment in leading and implementing academic and strategic initiatives that positively influence the performance of the organisation.
  • Highly effective relationship building and negotiating skills, with proven ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships, both within the University and with relevant external stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally. 
  • A mature understanding of current and emerging issues and trends in the Australian vocational education and training sector.
  • A demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.
  • A demonstrated ability to problem-solve and think laterally and to anticipate trends and identify and develop opportunities.

Remuneration 
This is a Senior Executive Contract, and a remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with experience.
