    The Centre for Regional Economies and Supply Chains (CRESC) combines the expertise of CQUniversity's leading researchers in issues focused on the development and enhancement of economic systems, regional workforce development, and supply and value chains vital to regional and rural areas.

    Our research leaders and team members work with a broad range of industry and research partners, State and local governments, and business and community organisations to generate new information and understanding about developing and managing resources for the most beneficial regional outcomes, the need to protect natural resources, the importance of human capital and entrepreneurial thinking in regional communities, new economic base development and improving supply chains within and outside regional Australia.

    In this role you will support the research of individuals and groups within CRESC and the University around workforce planning/development. You will contribute to growth in research income through the development and submitting of research proposals to funding agencies and through partnerships with industry, government and university collaborators.

    Position Requirements
  • Hold doctoral qualifications or equivalent accreditation and standing together with subsequent research experience.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding contribution to research publications, conference papers, reports and/or professional and/or technical contributions in two or more of the following relevant discipline areas: labour economics, regional development, demography, population policy.
  • Recognition as a leading authority in an area of research.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas of research strength, and track record of building collaborative relationships with industry, government and university sectors to secure competitive external grants and contract research with regional industry and government stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage interdisciplinary teams including demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams as well as providing guidance and oversight of others involved in project-based work.
  • Demonstrated record of research higher degree candidate supervision and completion.
