Title Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Economics (Prof Enke)

School Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area Economics Position Description

Professor Ben Enke is looking to hire a full-time pre-doctoral fellow for the academic year 2022-2023, with an option to extend for a second year pending funding and performance. The pre-doc will be based at Harvard and will closely collaborate with him on all aspects of his research in behavioral economics, experimental economics and political economy. For examples of recent papers on these topics, please see his website. The pre-doc's task will include designing, programming and implementing experiments and surveys; analyzing survey, observational and textual data; and literature reviews.

The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and experiences:

· A background in economics, applied math or other quantitative subjects

· Coding experience in Python, R, Stata or other languages, potentially including experience with NLP or other aspects of ML

· Prior experience as research assistant

· Interest in behavioral economics

· Strong project management and communication skills in spoken and written English

The position is ideally suited for students who would like to improve their research skills to prepare themselves for graduate school.

The start date is July 1, 2023, or later.
