The post-doctoral fellow will analyze the available pacemaker model
experiments with the IPSL-CM6 climate model that were performed for CMIP6 and
designed to emphasize these mechanisms.
The candidate will analyze the linkages between the decadal variability of the
Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The post-doctoral fellow will work on
establishing the mechanisms linking the two basins through atmospheric bridges
and feedbacks due to ocean-atmosphere coupling.
This research will be done at LOCEAN/IPSL within the JPI Climate / JPI Ocean
ROADMAP (The Role of ocean dynamics and Ocean-Atmosphere interactions in
Driving cliMAte variations and future Projections of impact-relevant extreme
events) project, which involves 12 European partners.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in oceanography, meteorology, or
environmental sciences, with a good background in statistical analysis and/or
