Position description

The Wang lab is looking for a self-motivated, creative, independent, and responsible postdoctoral researcher to join our interdisciplinary research group working on polymers and 3D printing. We work at the interface of Materials Science and Engineering and Chemistry, with members coming from both backgrounds, in addition to Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering. Our research areas include electronic and ion-conducting polymers, adaptive and dynamic polymers, and 3D printed hierarchical and bio-inspired materials for applications in electronics, soft robotics, and sustainability. Our experimental work are often supported by collaborations from computational groups to develop deep mechanistic understandings. The successful candidate will engage with one or multiple area of our research efforts, collect and analyze data, make periodic trips to the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab for experiments, prepare manuscript drafts, and serve as an effective mentor to graduate students in lab.
