Offer Description

1The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in the field of biology or a related field. The requirement is that the candidate has not spent more than 10 years in the science (from enrollment in a Ph.D. program to the application deadline). The candidate will work on the Nanopore sequencing system for the purpose of barcoding zooplankton within the SpaTeGen project (Spatial and Temporal Patterns of Genetic Diversity of Calanoid Copepods and Planktonic Tunicates in the Adriatic), funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. The employment contract will be for one year with the possibility of extension, depending on the available funds for the project. The gross salary will be approximately €2400. The job will involve laboratory and fieldwork on research vessels. The postdoc position will be based at the Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences at the University of Dubrovnik.
