CRIMEDIM - Center for Research and Training in Disaster Medicine, Humanitarian
Aid and Global Health, with a broad experience in promoting and coordinating
research and training projects in emergency and disaster medicine, is looking
for a postdoctoral researcher to be involved in a multidisciplinary and
international team of researchers based in Novara, Italy.
The postdoctoral researcher will perform high quality research in the fields
of disaster medicine, humanitarian aid and global health, and will work in
close cooperation with CRIMEDIM's scientific coordinator and PhD coordinator
to overview and constantly evolve the research activities of the center.
Key Responsibilities and activities
Support with the coordination of the doctoral program; Supervision of PhD
students and junior researchers; Planning and conduction of lectures, for
example, on research methods; Ongoing feedback to PhD students and junior
researchers and support with writing scientific papers.
Scientific coordination and/or participation in international projects in
the fields of disaster medicine, humanitarian aid and global health,
(e.g., emergency public health interventions, prehospital and hospital
disaster management, humanitarian assistance).
Support in the identification and drafting of research proposals, tenders
and fellowships for the acquisition of new national and/or international
PhD and MBBS or MSc in a relevant field (preferably in global
health, emergency public health or emergency/disaster management or
humanitarian assistance). A relevant postgraduate research experience
and/or a relevant work experience in multidisciplinary programmes would be
Proven research and scientific writing skills, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment, with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Strong independency and self-management skills.
Full time research fellowship contract (12 months, renewable).
