Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team led by
Dr Beth Psaila in the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative project using state-
of-the-art approaches to understand stem cell heterogeneity and the
development/function of megakaryocytes in a group of blood cancers called
myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). The work will involve conventional
cellular and molecular biology techniques as well as more complex, state-of-
the-art protocols for single-cell multi-omic analyses, highly-multiplexed
proteomics and in vitro/vivo models.
You will hold a PhD (or near to completion: thesis submitted) together with
relevant experience in haematology, megakaryocyte/platelet biology or a
relevant field. Experience in one or more of the core techniques for the
project (molecular biology, bioinformatics, imaging, mouse models of MPN;
single cell techniques or data analysis) is essential, along with experience
of independently managing an academic research project and the ability to work
as part of a team.
The post is available full time, fixed-term until 31 July 2024, funded by
Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to
upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
