Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford OX3 7JX Grade 7: £33,309-£40,927 (discretionary range to £44,706)

We are looking to appoint two postdoctoral researchers to work on the ATTUNE project led by Professor Kam Bhui in Oxford and Professor Ma at Falmouth. The project will bring together diverse creative-arts, digital and health experts to investigate how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can affect adolescents' mental health with the aim of developing new approaches to prevention and care. The posts are based at the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.

The posts are for a fixed term (funded to 31 August 2025).

You will work closely with Professor Bhui carrying out research for ATTUNE. This will include collation of all outcomes across the project, providing effective communication and senior leadership across the programme to ensure the research progresses on schedule; you will use initiative and problem solve, and provide regular reports on progress, as well as original research outputs. You will adapt existing and developing new methodologies and materials and acting as a source of information and advice to other members of the group, as well as provide learning opportunities internally and externally. You will present papers at conferences or public meetings, representing the research group.

You will have or be close to the completion of a PhD in a relevant subject along with relevant experience. You will have specialist knowledge in mental health research for young people and young adults and expertise in interdisciplinary perspectives on research methods. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to write for publication. Experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project would be desirable as would experience of community based participatory research and experience-based co-design.
