This involves both the production of mRNA (upstream process) and mRNA encapsulation and formulation (downstream process) with each of these processes including multiple distinct ‘unit operation' which are integrated in a chip to stream the process. The automation for the whole systems is required to ensure correct temperature, pH, concentration of mRNA used and automatic monitoring systems are to be developed and applied.
We seek an early-career scientist/engineer with a proven track record in (Process) Control Systems Design. The successful candidate will work on the development of automatic manufacturing process of this miniaturised mRNA vaccine factory and will have a strong background in process control or automation.
