The Division of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (Prof. Dr. phil. Stefanie Schmidt; www. kpkj.psy.unibe.ch) of the University of Bern is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents. The overall research topics include early detection and intervention; effects of social media on mental health and development; application of digital tools in psychotherapy; personalized psychotherapy through the identification of mechanisms of change and dynamic modeling of change processes; and investigation of developmental peculiarities in diagnostics and psychotherapy.
